My Boys

They're just growing so fast.

Spencer is reading and writing and doing math with ease. His spelling always makes me giggle because I find that he spells the way he pronounces things. Bruder = Brother for example. He is full of energy and is so reflective and inquisitive. He has questions about everything and is always wants to know how things work or how we could make something. He loves his brothers dearly and it makes me so happy to see them play together. They are true buddies. He also is making a lot of friends and I love hearing his stories about who he played with at school and what they did. He adores his teacher too and is already showing concern that she won't be his teacher next year.

Hudson cracks me up. All the time. His facial expressions are hysterical. Lately he's been living in this "Mario Brothers" world where he pretends he's living in the video game as he bounds around the house. He also asks to plays it. All.the.time. The other day he asked Kent if he could be his Daddy forever. He also asked if he could keep "Sally" as his Mom. Funny little boy. He's my easy going kid and easily finds himself stuff to do. He talks about his little friend Nolan constantly. "Mommy, Nowan and I wuv each udder soooooooooooo much!" He would much rather "Sawah take me to skhoooool today?"

Finley is getting to a super fun age. He walks around clapping and singing Twinkle, Twinkle. He knows all his letters (upper case & lower case). What puzzles me about this, is it's not from watching Sesame Street like the other boys. I think he must have learned it from one of their toys. He loves to play peek-a-boo and does not like to share. If he sees another child playing with something that he thinks he might to play with sometime in the present, past OR future then it is therefore his and he starts crying. We're working on that one. He adores his little owl stuffed toy and his "lovie" - which is a taggie blankie.

These are some "portraits" I took of the boys at Nana Sue's house yesterday. Totally impromptu... I just saw some good light and sat the boys down one at a time.
