Schnee 2011!

Two inches of snow in our part of the country = city.shut.down.  No school, most small businesses closed and us "natives" are generally afraid to drive.  Good thing I stocked up on the necessities.  You know,  stuff like kettle chips, marshmallows and salsa.

My day started with a 5:30am wake up call from the school district.  5:30am?  Really?  What happened to the days of sitting in front of the television, half dressed for school waiting anxiously for your school district to scroll across the bottom of the screen?  They followed it up with an e-mail.  Just in case I missed the call.

Spencer stumbled down the stairs just before 8:00am.  Seeing his face was the highlight of my day.  It was like Christmas minus the parental stress.  Hudson and Finley came downstairs not too long after full of excitement for the day.

Tonight they are calling for temperatures in the 20's and more snow.  Hopefully that means frozen tundra come morning and another day to just "be."  I could get used to this.

I love photos of flowers in the snow!

Hudson's masterpiece no longer seems out of place

Anticipation

Note the time.  I love that my boys like to sleep.

"Even our van has snow on it!"
Sweet

Waz Zat?

All bundled up and ready.  Can we go out yet, Mom?

With the neighborhood buddies

Maybe we stayed out a bit too long?  Poor cold baby!

Oh my gosh. I love that last photo SO much... that's EXACTLY how our time in the snow ends every time. Perfect photo. Love that you plunked his little tush in blankets and towels by the fireplace and went to grab your camera. You're a mama after my own heart.
