Making Fireworks

Today's Fourth of July was not quite what we had planned in that we were trying to get Finley to "make fireworks."

Not a ton of success... but we're making memories here... right?

I love the happiness on this face

I asked Spencer if he would "life guard" Finley (even though I was right there).  He got right to work, setting up his "lifeguard chair."

Our spread:  Tratorria Sliders, Potato Salad, Dad's Famous Baked Beans, BBQ Chips, Chips & French Onion dip (Kent's favorite) Watermelon & Honeydew.  YUM!  We had Balsamic Berries & Vanilla Ice Cream for dessert

Fireworks with friends and family!

Spencer & Hudson with Jackson.  We've known Jackson since he was 9 months old.

One of Spencer's buddies from school was biking by with his Mom and stopped to enjoy fireworks with us.  Spencer was so excited to see him!

Dan and Kent and the Grand Finale

Sweet kids and friends after enjoying fireworks together
My favorite part of the night is an image in my mind of my boys in their bunk bed peering out the window watching the fireworks in the sky as they fell asleep (waaaaaaaay past their bedtime).  I love the memories these boys are making as they grow.

Fun with friends! What a blessing it is to have been neighbors with the Fosters for so many years. Your kids will LOVE those memories together as they grow up!!
