Safety Town

Spencer had Safety Town this week through the local Parks & Recreation.  It was $ well spent for sure.  He learned about animal safety, poison safety, fire, police, bike, etc.  He had the sweetest counselors that were solely volunteers there.  I was tempted to ask them if they like to babysit!

Today they had their graduation and I must admit it was very very long.  They called the kids one by one (there were over 50 kids) and gave them a certificate with their name on it congratulating them.  When the police officer called Spencer to the stage he stopped her and told her that that was not his name.  She then announced into her microphone his full name with first, middle and last.  Apparently he needed to hear the whole thing.  Silly boy!

On a side note, Monday they learned about how electricity and water do not mix.  My husband works for the local electric company so this should have been of utmost interest to my oldest child.  Tuesday evening Spencer was supposed to be in bed and had gotten up to use the bathroom and wash his hands.  He then proceeded to unplug his night light with wet hands and electrocuted himself (just enough to bite his tongue).  Was he not paying attention on Monday?
