Christmas Tree Day

Today we headed out to our favorite Tree Farm to pick out the perfect tree along with my parents and Kent's Mom. The kids were still a little under the weather, but still had a fun time. Santa was waiting for us as we pulled up to the farm which was so much fun. He rang his bell and bellowed, "ho, ho, ho!" Hudson was the most excited of the kids and could hardly wait to scramble up the steps to where Santa waited in his sleigh to tell him all the things he was hoping to get for Christmas. Spencer was a little more timid this year. He was a little shy... even embarrassed. But after a bit he got up there too. Finley I'm sure thought we were crazy handing him to a bearded stranger, but tolerated the experience all the same.

After our visit with Santa we made a quick stop to meet a couple of his reindeer and then we headed off to conveniently find the perfect tree... and it happened to be just at the edge of the forest! Perfect for an adventure with 3 small boys who have felt better. We completed our morning with hot cocoa, lakeside & fireside.

On the way home my Dad treated us to a yummy lunch at McMenamins Grand Lodge in Forest Grove. Our food was fabulous, but wow... it sure took them a long time to make our yummy food! It is definitely a beautiful place to check out if you're ever out that way.

Here are a few photos from our fun morning. If you are interested in seeing the santa photos from last year click here and here.
