Last month Spencer had a field trip to the Fire Station with his Kindergarten class. This was the same place Hudson went to, only I was a little more prepared this time. The kids had a great time and Spencer had some... interesting... questions.

Demonstrating what Firemen wear when they go to fight a fire. The did a great job of explaining to the kids that Firemen are NOT scary. At this point they took questions. Spencer's hand shot up in the air. His question? "How do they make the air tanks?" His teacher said that only Spencer would ask a question like that.

They even let the kids get up close and touch.

At the end of the field trip, they gave the kids a tour of where the Firemen sleep and then asked the kids if they had any questions. Spencer's hand shot up in the air. "Why did God make fire?" You can see the fireman's expression here as well as the laughter behind him. He didn't have an answer to that question either. But we got to see him blush!
