It's been a nice couple of days. Monday started out really slow because after being in the house all weekend due to the ice we were really feeling stir-crazy. We went grocery shopping and then Kent called to say he was going to dinner with his sister that eve. Luckily, a few minutes later - my good friend Michelle called because she was having an improptu play group at her house! Yay! We had a great time over there - I was amazed at how well Spencer played with the other kids. He is growing up so fast. He and Dino sat there for the longest time playing with the trains without any problem whatsoever.
Yesterday we went to the Children's Museum for toddler time. It was a fun time, but Spencer was a little overwhelmed and after about 20 minutes he walked to the gate as if to say, "Ok, Mom - I've had enough." We then went and did some painting - which was a first for him. Then we went to Toys R Us and got some squirt toys as a birthday gift for his friend Molly as well as some stacking cups. These may be things she already has - but we find that you can only use the squirt toys for so long before you need to throw them out and it's nice to have some stacking cups both for the tub and for out of the tub. We came home in time for nap time and that took care of the day. Last night we went to the hair salon with Kent so they could meet Spencer. That was a lot of fun too. We went to desert afterwards at Stanford's because we had a gift card from there. We had a great time!
Today we've already been to indoor play park and music class. Busy, busy, busy... but I wouldn't have it any other way!
