Monday morning, we got up bright and early and headed to Goofy’s Kitchen for breakfast. It was here that we saw Baloo, Goofy, Pluto, Jasmine, Chip and Dale. The kids seemed to really enjoy interacting with the characters and the fun food like Mickey Mouse shaped waffles and peanut butter and jelly pizza. Spencer was funny when Jasmine came around. He’s on an anti-princess kick, therefore he would not even turn around and look at her. He had a look on his face like he was just too busy with his food to be bothered. Luckily, Hudson and Finley were far more gracious to poor Jasmine!
After we finished up at Goofy’s kitchen we headed to California Adventure to be amongst the first to get into the park. I really love the California Adventure park! It’s just so bright and cheery and new. We first went and met Minnie Mouse! The boys were so excited to see her… and Pluto was there too so they went and said hi to him as well. I love the look on both of the boys faces when they see a character they like… so much excitement!
From there we went and picked up Fast Passes for Soaring Over California stopping to have photos taken with Lightning McQueen & Mater along the way. Then we walked to Toy Story Mania. What a fun ride! Everyone had a blast on this ride (I think Finley even liked it)! From here we went over to Soaring Over California and Spencer, Kent and I rode it together. I just love this one… the feeling of flying is unbelievable and the smells they pipe it make it so real. Spencer squealed through the whole thing… he was definitely impressed and having a ball. By the time we got back out to Mom & Dad and the stroller Hudson had fallen asleep so we walked around for a while while he slept and then stopped for a simple lunch and headed to Bugs Land. The kids just loved this… from the bumper cars to the flying fair to Heimlich’s Chew Chew train it was fun, fun, fun!
After this, we headed back to the hotel for quiet rest time. Mom, Hudson, Spencer and I went down to the new kids pool & splash area at our hotel. It was so much fun! They have it set up like a pirate ship with a huge bucket of water at the top that dumps every few minutes. There are also a couple of water slides and fun water features and squirt guns. Both of the boys loved it! My favorite was the 1 foot wading pool that was warm… so lovely and relaxing! After rest time we headed back to California Adventure and Dad and Spencer went on Soaring Over California together… Spencer apparently met a “real pilot” in line and they became fast friends. Spencer once again squealed through the whole ride!
After that we watched the Pixar Parade together, sharing corn dogs, cookies and coffee. It was such a cute parade complete with dancing, bubbles and lots of squirting water. Finley didn’t seem to mind getting squirted too much. Hudson definitely tolerated it. From there we started to head back to Disneyland but when we were just inside the park, we realized that Hudson had once again fallen asleep. So after a lost shoe mishap (we were able to find it) we headed back to the hotel. Mom and Dad stopped at had dinner at Mimi’s along the way and we went back and put Hudson to bed where he slept for the next 12 hours! Mom and Dad put the big boys to bed while Kent and I went to dinner afterwards… such great help and these bonus "date nights" were so nice!

All ready for Toy Story Mania... such a fun ride!
This was one of those spinny rides like the tea cups. Hudson did not like this ride but wanted to go on it so badly!

Check in tomorrow for Day #3 of our fabulous Disneyland Vacation!
