You got to see the other guy...

A story...

So last week, we went to a park in Happy Valley. While it was nice to see some old friends our excursion went less than stellar. We got lost on the way there (thank you Google Maps). Right after we got there I stepped on an earring, which went into my heel (kinda like stepping on a thumb tack). Then, Spencer and another little boy were running and didn't see each other resulting in a lovely black eye for Spencer and a small goose egg for the other little boy. Spencer got most hysterical when I told him he would get a black eye. Thinking back, I can recognize why this might have been horrifying. I mean, literally, "black eye" does sound kinda scary! Then Spencer dropped his milkshake in the van (yikes). When I told him I wasn't pleased, he told me that he wished he "had never been born." *Sigh*... way to hit your mommy where it hurts!

Anyway... we went to an absolutely beautiful wedding for Kent's cousin Angie and her new husband Ty this weekend. It was in the church we were married in and was just absolutely beautiful!

Angie & Ty... don't they look great! Angie was the most beautiful bride ever!

Here's our little family. Nana Sue bought them matching polos & blue slacks. So cute!

People kept asking Spencer what had happened to his eye and his Aunt Carrie (who I love dearly) told him that he should start responding with, "you got to see the other guy!" He first ran over to the groomsmen to share his new "joke" to which they laughed hysterically. That was all Spencer needed. Off he went from table to table to tell his "joke" often times getting exactly the reaction he was looking for. And off went me, from table to table exclaiming, "he didn't really get in a fight... it was a playground mishap, blah, blah, blah." So here is Spencer... and no... I don't have a photo of the "other guy."

Click on the photo so you can see the black eye in all it's glory. It seems to be getting darker as the days go by. By the way, Spencer is doing his "Tom Cruise" slide across the floor on your knees dance move here. Not that he even knows that's what he's doing!

And here is Aunt Carrie & I at Angie's Bachelorette Party. Love her... (and can't wait until we can try these great jokes out on her son, Miles)!!!

First of all, LOVE the new block background. Those owls are a HOOT! ;)

Oh my with the black eye...Mikayla had this happen to her, too with a run-in with someone's noggin' but I don't think it got as "black" as Spencer's.

LOVE the family picture at the wedding...you look great!!
