This year was much different from our Strawberry Picking experience of last year in that in place of blue skies and heat we had grey skies and a steady drizzle. The boys still managed to enjoy the simple fun of picking berries. Finley was great! I just sat him on the ground and he crawled around but mostly just sat and ate or smashed whatever berry I handed to him. The boys filled their buckets quickly and we came away with 23 pounds of berries plus whatever my Mom picked (she came too... yay!). Due to the rain, I brought my "little" camera. It did an okay job but I came away with lots of blurry photos... upon inspection once I got home, I found that the lens was dirty. It looks like we have enough smashed berries in the freezer to make about 30 jars of jam... yay! I'll get to work on that this weekend.
Strawberry Bliss!

Great job Sally!! I think I prefer the cooler weather for picking, it was nice to not get over heated in the fields this week. We are going again today, wahoo!
I love the title of this post by the way, great song! :)
